We spoke to Dr Lluís Giner, dean of the Faculty of Dentistry and president of the Conference of Academic Heads and Deans of the Faculties of Dentistry of Spain. Dr. Giner recalls 25 years of Dentistry at UIC Barcelona, paying homage to the legacy of Dr Miquel Cortada, first director of the faculty of Dentistry, who left us in 2019.

Effort, work and constancy are some of the distinctive features that are part of the legacy of Dr Cortada, and the faculty aims to inculcate those characteristics in the students. As Dr Giner explains, “the human side is fundamental to us and that is why we want to train people first, and afterwards train them to be the best professionals”.
