09 Mar ‘Women and Science’ Exhibition
To mark International Day of Women and Girls in Science on 11 February, the exhibition ‘Women and Science’ was held on both UIC Barcelona campuses until 8 March to commemorate and recognise the careers of all the women of our university who have contributed to advances in science and technology.
The exhibition was promoted by the Equality Office of the Vice-Rectorate of University Community, supported by the Vice-Rectorate for Research, Innovation and Knowledge Transfer.
The objective was to discover and appreciate the talent, effort and leadership of our researchers, and their role in the field of research
There are also many women who have contributed with their research and have left their mark throughout the 25-year history of UIC Barcelona.
In four panels, the exhibition highlighted the teachers of UIC Barcelona; the research groups led by women; and the merits, grants and recognitions recently received by women researchers of the University. The objective was to discover and appreciate the talent, effort and leadership of our researchers, and their role in the field of research within the path to research excellence, and impact they have had on society.
The researchers featured in the exhibition are just a small sample of the many women of UIC Barcelona whose talent motivates them each day to have an impact on society through their research, perseverance, effort and dedication. There are also many women who have contributed with their research and have left their mark throughout the 25-year history of UIC Barcelona. The Equality Office wanted to pay tribute to all these women with this exhibition. The Equality Office wanted to pay tribute to all these women with this exhibition
