UIC Barcelona has sixteen company chairs, five of which develop research within the field of Dentistry, thanks to the collaboration with prestigious companies such as Dentsply Sirona, Soadco, Straumann Group or Dentium.

Fully aware of its role as a knowledge provider, the Faculty of Dentistry has five company chairs resulting from collaboration with leading companies in the sector. Specifically, these are the chairs from which research lines are currently being developed:

Dentsply Sirona Chair – UIC Barcelona in Digital Flow in Dentistry. Directed by Dr Miguel Roig and coordinated by Dr Joan Soliva, the chair develops methodologies aimed at boosting inter-area cooperation and providing interdisciplinary solutions to the challenges inherent in the field of Dentistry, with a focus on restorative dentistry, orthodontics, periodontology, surgery and endodontics.

Chair for MIS Implant Design Research. Directed by Dr Federico Hernández-Alfaro, focuses research on implants and their clinical applications through several clinical trials.

The Klockner Implant System Chair for the Prevention of Oral Peri-Implantitis. The aim behind this chair directed by Dr José Nart is to promote knowledge and research into implantology with a special focus on prevention of and treatment for peri-implantitis.

Chair of Research on Bone Regeneration in Implant Dentistry. Directed by Dr Federico Hernández-Alfaro, it aims to investigate the different regeneration techniques applied in different clinical cases.

Chair in Zygomatic Implants. A new digital approach. Directed by Dr Federico Hernández-Alfaro and coordinated by Dr Adaia Valls and Dr Jorge Bertos, the chair focuses on the digital approach to zygomatic implants.
